Industrial Engineer, graduated in the Engineering School of Seville. He has worked in the research area of the University of Seville, with projects associated with mechanical machinery and biomechanics. In 2012 he joined the Materials and Processes division of CATEC, where he acquired wide knowledge in non-destructive inspection techniques (infrared thermography, laser shearography, video correlation, etc.). He is an expert in inspections using digital radiography and computed tomography in both composite and metallic materials. He is a supervisor of radioactive facilities licensed by the Spanish Nuclear Safety Council and has been certified in the Digital Radiography method as Level 2 in accordance with the requirements of the EN4179 standard. He is also a member of the Spanish Association of Non-Destructive Testing (AEND).

He has a large experience with additive manufacturing technologies for both metals and thermoplastic materials. He has participated in the development of new materials, definition of parameters to improve functionality, and definition of protocols for quality control of flight components.

He is currently responsible for the Advanced Testing and Processes Unit of CATEC.
