Collaborative Robot - KUKA

The development of new strategies and components for safe human-robot interaction is one of our principal priorities.

KUKA Lightweight is a 7-axis jointed-arm robot. Each joint is equipped with a position sensor on the input side and position and torque sensors on the output side. The robot can thus be operated with position, velocity and torque control. This robotic arm is prepared to work in collaboration with operators, establishing a safe interaction with them. Due to its size and characteristics, it can be used in a wide variety of situations for which a conventional industrial robot would not be suitable.
