The HIBA+ project aims to strengthen and consolidate the Network created in its predecessor project, HIBA+, elevating it to the category of Corridor pursued by the European Commission (EC) in cross-border territories to support agri-food SMEs and micro-enterprises in digitalization.
The project has a budget of 2,854,222.77 million euros, co-financed 75% by the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) within the framework of the Interreg VI-A Spain-Portugal Program (POCTEP): Cross-border cooperation projects supported by the European Union that aim to promote the digitalization of SMEs and micro-enterprises, focusing on companies located in the agri-food value chain, relying on the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) and proposing synergistic actions that complement, from a cross-border perspective, the activities carried out by the EDIHs together with other key agents in the digital transformation process.
In total, 12 beneficiary partners and 3 collaborating partners, including entities related to innovation and digitalization of the agri-food sector in Spain and Portugal, will work until December 31, 2026, on the creation of an Iberian network of DIH in Agrotech to promote entrepreneurship and improve business competitiveness through digital innovation.
