The general principles of action that inspire CATEC’s Equality Plan:

  • Ensure gender equality in personnel selection processes.
  • Effectively promote and guarantee equal opportunity criteria in all processes related to staff promotion.
  • Ensure the effective application of the principle of equal pay for work of equal value and, specifically, the elimination of gender-based pay gaps.
  • Promote a corporate culture that facilitates the balance between professional, personal, and family life, ensuring that the exercise of these rights does not have negative consequences in the professional sphere, especially for female employees.
  • Ensure that the workforce enjoys a work environment free from all types of harassment, discrimination and intimidation, and in which the dignity of people is a value defended and respected.
  • Promote and encourage equality training for all staff throughout their professional careers.
  • The internal and external communications policy reflects the diversity of the people who comprise it, avoiding stereotypical and discriminatory representations.
  • Include the gender perspective in the Occupational Risk Prevention policy and tools in order to adapt them to the physical, psychological, biological and social needs and characteristics of the workforce.
  • Promote the value of gender equality and create a culture consistent with the principle of equality
