This project is part of the Spain-Portugal Interreg Program (POCTEP) 2021-2027. Approved by the European Commission on August 22, 2022, the Interreg Spain-Portugal Program (POCTEP) 2021-2027 is the largest cross-border cooperation program of the European Union (EU), receiving an ERDF contribution of more than 320 million euros. The main objective of the FUTURETECH H2 project is to promote the development of activities related to the value chain of production, distribution and use of green hydrogen. It is characterized by being an innovator and pioneer in the field of port and river mobility, using this type of technology to position cross-border territories as leaders in the sector.
The aim is for industrial companies to increase their activity by developing business models adapted to the expected evolution of green hydrogen. These include the development of demonstration activities, the formulation of new business models, training and education in this area, the exchange of experiences and the transfer of knowledge, as well as the active promotion of industrial companies and other sectors linked to the hydrogen supply chain.
This comprehensive approach seeks not only to promote the use of green hydrogen in the region but also to generate a positive and sustainable impact on the local business community, fostering innovation and cross-border cooperation.
