PhD in Mechanical Engineering, M.Sc. in Advanced Design of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineer by the University of Seville. Sine 2011, member of the Materials & Processes division at CATEC. Currently, Head of the Testing and Advanced Processes Unit, with expertise in mechanical and environmental testing for both coupon and structural characterization, analysis and simulations by finite element method (FEM), topology optimization for additive manufacturing solutions, as well as deep knowledge in novel and flexible NDT methods. Dr. Sergio González coordinates and participates in the preparation of R&D proposals, management and execution of National and European research projects.
